On April 15, 2021 around 6:40 AM a head on collision occurred on Highway 193. A driver of a Nissan Altima was passing another car heading south on 193. This area was a no passing zone, and the Altima hit an oncoming driver of a Chevy Equinox head on.
The impact of the accident pushed the Equinox backwards, while the Altima spun off the highway.
The 38 year old that was driving the Altima was pronounced dead at the scene.
