Kingston, Ga - Fatal Car Accident Shuts Down Highway 411 Between Cartersville and Rome

On Wednesday evening, around 5:21 p.m., there was a fatal accident in Kingston, GA on Highway 411.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a Hyundai Veloster was being driven in the left lane at high speed approaching Macedonia Road.

A driver in a vehicle ahead saw the Hyundai approaching at a high rate of speed and began to change lanes to allow the Hyundai to pass.  The vehicle was unable to change lanes quick enough, and the Hyundai sideswiped it.

After the impact, the driver of the Hyundai lost control causing the car to overturn several times.

The driver of the Hyundai sustained fatal injuries.
